What is MashTone?
MashTone is a biotechnology based,fermentation friendly mash conditioner in powder form. Addition of MashTone to the fermentation process helps in improving yeast health and overall process. MashTone is useful for molasses based fermentation and is available in three variants namely: MashTone Regular and MashTone Plus and MashTone Customized.
What are the main advantages of using MashTone?
Due to improvement in Yeast health the overall fermentation efficiency is increased thereby increasing the yield of alcohol. It also reduces by-product formation by arresting the growth of contaminating bacteria. Due to excellent yeast growth it also helps in reducing the batch time / retention time.
Is it a replacement to the routine nutrients?
No. It is not a replacement to the nutrients like Urea and DAP.
Is it necessary to add biocides like Chlorine or Quaternary Ammonium Compounds or SMBS when MashTone is added?
Biocides or anti bacterial substances like antibiotics are not at all required when MashTone is used in the fermentation system.
How MashTone application is done?
MashTone is very easy to apply. Simply mix required quantity with process water and add it to the fermentor. The details are given under the heading 'MashTone Applications' in separate sheet.
How MashTone is supplied?
It is supplied in customer friendly pouch sizes based on the plant capacities. Once you inform the plant capacity to us, we will supply MashTone in the required pouch sizes, based on daily requirement. This will avoid spillage due to handling and spoilage due to exposure, when packed in bulk containers.
How to store MashTone?
MashTone is stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and heat. It has an expiry period of Nine months.
What about safety?
MashTone is safe to handle, non-toxic to human beings and non-flammable. However, it may cause sensitization on inhalation. Hence we suggest the use of gloves and mask while applying MashTone.
Will it affect biogas or effluent treatment systems?
No. It is a totally eco-friendly product without any adverse effects on biogas production & effluent treatment systems. Moreover MashTone get utilized completely in the fermentation process and gets degraded at the distillation temperatures. Hence there is no chance of having any effect in the downstream processes.
